I have never seen so many weeds! The polytunnel is so prone to fast growing weeds I think we find it quite hard to keep up with them. Finally this week we propped up the squashes and cucumbers and weeded around them.
There was also a quick repair job on the bean wigwams and hooks were put up in the sheds to help us keep things tidy. Simon turned the compost, Gary whizzed round with the lawn mower and the strimmer broke down on us!
Everyone helped to plant out the poor peppers that have been sitting patiently outside. I know it is a little late for them to go in the ground but they are bearing fruit and hopefully they will get a bit bigger before we pick them.
I think we all had time to reflect on how far the garden has come :)
Looking forward to more crafting with Ruth next week. Mini wigwams and pickles to make :)
ALSO... Look out for our Celebration event on the 24th September 2011....!
