I have a 60 metre x 60 metre plot that I would like to use (all or part) for organic vegetable / fruit production in collaboration with an experienced grower who needs space. Water, access, tool storage, parking, toilet, kettle, etc. no problem. South / south-east facing; very gentle slope. Currently grassed, and clay soil, so work needed, but no fertilisers / pesticides ever used and mulch available in huge quantities close by. I intend to fence it with deer / rabbit-proof fence. I am an RHS gold medallist (Hampton Court 2008) but apart from herbs and easy veg I am inexperienced at food growing.

I have a large garden which I would like to share in exchange for produce. There is a large area at the bottom suitable for a vegetable garden. There is currently no separate tool shed. Access is through the garden and water and electricity are available. Would prefer no weekends but no restrictions during the week.

I would be very interested in learning how to grow my own and also in carbon off-setting-maybe buying some trees and planting them?

Need a Plot to Grow Your Own ?

Local Council Land.

The Leatherhead Community Garden project is not an allotment provider, however, if you are interested in growing your own then you might want to contact Mole Valley District Council and discuss the availability of an allotment.

Landshare

An alternative to the land offered by MVDC is a private plot offered through Landshare, a Channel4 initiative. Local plots become available quite frequently. The Leatherhead Garden Community, has provided a live digest of currently available plots in the Leatherhead area for you convenience.
