The Project
The Leatherhead Community Garden and Learning Centre is a local organisation promoting and encouraging organic gardening within the Leatherhead area.
The project was launched in September 2009 on the Scout Hut site in Woodbridge Grove, Leatherhead. The Garden is a community development and grow your own initiative managed and developed by local people and supported by a range of partners from across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
The idea is to support residents and organisations from within the local community who wish to learn or take part in organic growing collectively. There is also a great opportunity for people to mingle and get to know one another.
This is not aimed at individuals who would like an allotment.
Progress
Since acquiring the garden site in September 2009, significant progress has been made in preparing the garden. The community group maintains a journal to record progress. The journal includes video and photos.
